Two days ago ive drove XE for the first time. No boost, gauge never goes over 0, nice boost gauge test :). Very boring, no mad accelerating over 3-4k rpm. Speeds equally and slowly reaches full RPM.

Image

I was in luck finding it on the exit :).

Image

Nice weather yesterday for trying out LE bumper. Its like new, not damaged. I didnt screw it, just put it to see how it fits so its not lined with the hood. Lines with headlights perfectly, even FMIC fits without cutting the bumper. Im thinking about black paint for the whole car!

H1 Cree LED kit 4200 lumens will arrive tomorrow. Its about ~70w, lights up instantly, longer lasting, less heating, nicer looking, less consuming bla bla bla :). Ive got fast bright AC xenon high beam, and xenon fogs now H1 LED low beam its gonna shinee :)!1!!

Fog beams are in great condition, obviously because of rare usage, main beam is a bit fried, not so shiney inside so i might buy morimoto projectors soon. High beams are in average condition but with this AC HIDs they rock!

LEDs i got are actually 2200lumens and 6000K.

ImageImage

Removed headlights to fit LEDs easily.

Image

Comapring ballasts and adapters, first is LED, second Xenon AC China CNLIGHT FastBright SLIM ballast, third ultra china VIP HID ultra big old b*stard.
ImageImageImage

Ive head 2 holes already for H1 low beam wires and H3 Fogs, LED cooler is buly so i had to cut another hole.

Image

Fans can unfog my headlights too :)

ImageImage

Its meant to fit something like this, I might find this rubber seal, seen that on many vehicles but if i dont get foggy headlights i dont care.

Image

This is main beam, not so shiney.

Image

High beam not so bad...

Image

Will fit them tomorrow!1!!11

Ive tested LEDs at night, it lights immediately, light is more pleasent, no xenon flicker BUT i didn't notice any improovement of light intensity comparing to cheap HID kits. Its clear that my low beam projectors are very bad so ive got Morimoto H1 BIxenon (with flaps) projectors and some badass LEDs for parking lights. I will fit these soon, ive used them on other cars and its nice improovement over old burned beams. Also with LEDs inside reflective coat will last much much longer. My high beam is extremely bright now with AC xenon and with this BI projectors flap will flip and ill have LEDs for the high beam too...

Image

Checked last night, headlights arent fogging inside even tho ive cut hole in the back...

Ive been testing these leds and came up with some results.

Firslty by changing my projectors ive got 10-20%. Next i was testing LED vs average quality AC hid. AC Hid was 10-15% brighter.
Ive been driving for 2 nights and its not bad but since im going for best solution in term of brightness im going back to HIDs.

Seller will exchange this led set with Philips AC Can Bus HID set 4300K. LED is fun and starts instantly, but 2200lumens is 21w and it just isnt enough. I guess some 3600 lumens will perform great also i was expecting 4200 lumens but it was a mix up.

Ive wired bixenon projectors so flap goes down when i light high beam. Parking lights are awesome.

Morimoto BIxenon projectors look like a joke comparing to hella factory ones but hellas are not so reflective anymore so chinese crap lights much better.
Standard projectors

Drilled morimotos so LEDs will fit.
ImageImage

Morimoto on the left, hella on the right
ImageImageImage

Ive spent few hours on fitting these.

ImageImageImage

Most important thing is alignment, both projectors must be placed perfectly, so i used garage door to match height.
Image

Ive modified cut off to RHD

Factory RHD

Cutting flaps
ImageImage

Now its LHD like from the factory ;)
Image

Some more flap cutting
Image

In the end ive managed to break one glass :(
Image

Bought one from the scrapyard, these are parking lights
ImageImage

Now cooler fits inside but anywayz im going back to xenon ;)
Image

So I did the testing, guess sometime soon LEDs will be much brighter and will start taking HIDs place, however H4 sets are much brighter because bulb is bigger. Also saw some 3600 H1's selling in China :P.

Swap for bigger tophat and new hoses, also got this front bumper badge which will be used for my LE bumper one day :).

ImageImageImage

Had to add MBC cause my spring setup was overboosting too much in 6th gear, to accomplish 1bar in 3rd gear, 6th was going ~1.45. Amal was disconnected long time ago since its leaking on both my turbos and keeping bout 0.8bar. Now ima have stable 1bar boost no overboosting tho.
