as its now only 8 week away on Friday ...I thought it best to post a new thread with the information

and if you don't want to read through all this I will summarise things


YOU need to book before July 6th if you want the £15 per night rate ..if not your going to be charged £20 per night, if you turn up on the Saturday and want to camp over your going to be charged the full rate of £20 per night
THE CLUB HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BOOKING ......YOU NEED TO DO IT

Price is for one unit ...unit being a car with tent/caravan/trailer tent and 4 people ...extras are chargeable (see below)

extra car is £10 for the show duration

if you only go for the day its £10 per car with 4 people ...not allowed to camp over with that





Venue Billing Aquadrome, Crow Lane, Great Billing, Northampton, NN3 9DA.

Dates Friday13th July 14 till Sunday July 15th 2012.


This year is the 30th year of the VBOA event at Billing, and as such there is a few changes this year. This year the event is being held over the three days from the Friday till Sunday.

The VBOA are going to hold a hog roast will operate from 7.00pm on the Friday night, July 13th. This is FREE for 500 servings from VBOA as a 30th anniversary celebration. A Club Reps meeting will be held in the usual place at 6.00pm to get tickets for their club members present on the Friday night.

( why its not the Saturday I hear you ask...well it was simply that most clubs have their own arrangements for the Saturday for awards etc ...so the only day would be the Friday as most leave on Sunday afternoon)

SO CAN WE HAVE A LIST OF THOSE THAT WISH TO ATTEND THIS HOG ROAST


PLUS

A 25mm circular lapel badge will be given to clubs to hand out to those that attend, this is in addition to the commemorative plaque that will also be avilable to purchase..THE BUTTON BADGE WILL BE FREE

Camping


If you pre book your camping the cost is £15 per night per uint (unit being a Vehicle with Caravan/trailer tent with 4 people in a unit staying in one tent/Caravan ...if you have an extra tent or more than 4 people, then you will be charged extra for that (some have got away without doing this...we cant condone this, but its your rsik if you wish to try it..beware though they do have the right to evict you from the site, not just ask you for the extra amount ...so the choice is yours!!!)

If you want a pitch with electric hook up, then these are avilable at an extra cost of £6 per night ..THESE are very limited so only on a fist come first served bases...Also they are not on the actual area of the club stand so may be a wee bit away from the rest that are camping

You can book for as many nights as you wish BUT the discount rate will only apply to the Friday/Saturday/Sunday after or before those dates will be charged at the current rate for Billing (which is £20 per night but may have changed by show date so please check this)

Extra vehicles will be charged at a flat £10 for the duration of the event

Day visitors will be charged £10 per day per vehicle and up to four people and do not have to pre book.

so if your staying Friday/Saturday/Sunday and have one unit (car and tent with 4 people) the total cost is £45

If you take another car then add £10

If you have an extra tent or even a Gazebo or more than 4 people ..there will also be an extra charge, they dont mention the fee's on their site for these, but IIRC from last year its about £6 per person per night and £4 per night for and extra tent

NOW NOTE THIS BIT EVERYONE

Pre Book Process
Call 01604 408181, select option 2 or 01524 781453 and quote the VBOA30 booking code.

All pitches must be pre-booked prior to the 6th July 2012 (inclusive). Bookings made after that date will be at FULL tariff


so if you dont pre book by the 6th July your going to be charged the full rate of £20 per night


Billing will give VBOA club members a discount on any static holiday home bookings for the event - a 7 night minimum booking applies. Details to be advised.



Pre Book Benefits
Pre booked attendees will be directed to a dedicated “fast track” entry lane and pick up their welcome pack/Billing passes at the gate house. The welcome pack will include a park map with the VBOA Club stand locations and an invitation to a Friday night VBOA 30th anniversary event


Those pre booking leisure passes for the new leisure complex will also enjoy a 50% discount - swimming will only be £2.50 per person and not the usual £5 per visit.


Other Information
Existing toilet and shower blocks will be refurbished prior to our visit plus an extra portable shower unit and toilet unit will be brought in to service the Swans Field area. All will be open and serviced 24 hours.

Entertainment will be available in the leisure venue on Saturday night.

24 hour security will be provided by the enhanced Billing on site team plus a dedicated VBOA dog handler.

An 11.00pm site curfew/excess noise rule will be applied to all Park visitors by Park security. Chinese lanterns are not permitted in the Park as these are a potential fire hazard.

Park management will attend the 9.00am VBOA rep briefing meetings on Saturday and Sunday morning to handle any complaints about facilities etc.

Billing will provide the following star prizes for the charity VBOA draw:

• 2 static weekly holidays
• 2 touring holidays - weekly pitches


not sure if we will have our usual BBQ as we may not have an actually BBQ to cook on this year...we will see what happens though

please add your name to the list if your going to attend Billing this year...if your wish to attend the VBOA hog roast on the friday ..and what day you will be coming along

ye sI know we have nothing to do with it, but we then at least know who is going along so maybe tell those to expect X amount form our club
