Right , just got the call back from the guy who built the unit after he had a look over it again and it turns out there deffo an issue with the penny valve, seems theres a washer thats not seated right and allowing it to life slightly and not seal 100% ( hopefully the cause of the sound ive been getting on the early part of boost and the slow leak of power, . How he explained it was the it would be audible on early boost and cause a weaker boost but once full boost gained it wouldnt matter as much , It might also explain why the sound is louder when the car is cold and better softer when hot and its probably sealing better once the metal expands .
Other than that, its mint inside and has no play on shaft and no fins catching. Hes gonna replace the penny valve and make sure it seats right now and return .. Hopefully solve the headache its given me ..

Guy has suggested he believes my car is running really rich! ( lots of soot inside exhaust side ) Would explain the occasional backfire i get from the exhaust but plugs look ok and ive recently replaced the coolant temp sensor/ lambda sensor/ afm sensor/ air filter / .
Cant see why it would still be running rich ? Standard everything and newly cleaned injectors. ect..
He did mention to check the earth on the throttle position sensor as this can go pear and cause running rich issues!! Not sure what else to check tbh???

sorry if my post gives odd info but its just what ive had passed on to me ! When the valve is shut tight theres no movement in the penny valve itself but the actual but the circular plate has some play in it and can be lifted without the actual arm itself being moved at ( if that makes sense?) The guy has told me that the circular plate is able to lift slightly even though the arm itself is not moving !! He said theres a washer thats allowing movement of that plate that keep it shut even when the actuator is wound right tight?? Im sure i had a vid to show this some were?? Anyhow! He seems sure its the cause of the problem so lets see if it is!

Finding this right hard to word right ( maybe coz i dont know how to explain it right) its shut tight but the round penny part wobbles around even thought the thing is shut? ( wish i knew the right words lol)

I think he's saying the penny valve is either warped or the seat is distorted.
Unlikely in cast iron though. Perhaps just needs re seating.
Another possibility is the shaft bearing sleeve is so badly worn the bottom of valve has a gap.

What he does need to do is bin his actuator with a Bodge it spring on it.
