Silicone hoses

by vauxhallben » Tue Jul 14, 2015 11:59 am

After seeing everybody else's engine bays over billing I really want to make mine look better only problem being nobody makes silicone hoses for the ecotec, and company's that will want silly money and to have a lot of orders, so was really wondering if anybody can help, that know if other hoses will fit, like from the vectra x20xev?

Really would like it to like Craig's

Thanks

Will be curious about following this thread because i know I need to pull my finger out with mine too and silicone hoses make a massive difference under the bonnet.

Ben you can make a lot of it up for the Ecotec by just buying
straight lengths. The flow and return for the radiator are the same.

there was talk of a group buy for the ecotec over on .com a few years ago but nobody was willing to take all their hoses off for them to be sent away for them to be used as templates for the silicone ones.

maybe worth while starting a new thread and see if you can rustle up any interest, but obviously making sure you can supply a set of hoses for templates. most on here have Roose hoses and i know myself and others have had dealings with Roose for hoses to be made up as they are very helpful

I started up one of those groups a few years ago, had a set of old hoses, that I sent to one of the .com members to send and get them made into templates and then never heard anything again, I have also put up something on .com just now to see if anybody can help, I have spoke to many company's before but like I said for them to make hoses they want to know that other people would buy them or there is a massive fee, maybe I will contact roose again and see what they say this time

Thanks for the advice guys

Been curious about this as well as I've seen roose hoses for the Vectra x20xev and wondered if they would fit a cally.

I have been told certain hoses do, but nobody makes a kit for the Calibra x20xev, and I can't get enough people together to say they would buy a set for a big company to make them

'Hello Ben.
I'm sorry but we don't cater for the X20XE only the C20XE.
If you got 5 people who wanted a full silicone hose kit we would develop a set for you.
Regards Paul.
