Recent Calibra Purchases!

by KERR_SE9 » Fri Sep 20, 2013 7:00 pm

Hi folks, seen as I can't help myself (literally) I'm now upto 8 Calibra! (Well 7 complete and 1 rolling shell)
Bought the Se9 that was advertised on here, sadly needing the Head Gasket, but worth fixing I reckon, Seen a v6 on Gumtree, belonged to a bloke that works with Aldo (Previous to that it was Aldos) and lastly picked up a standard 91 Xe, proper retro, no airbags etc, very early Xe (has dizzy)

Plans are to sort the Se9 for my Mrs to use when I sorn her Alfa Spider over winter, going to Mot and sort little pieces on the Gold one ( forgot colour atmo!)
then sell her on, hopefully to a club member, as these cars would have almost certainly been broken for spares, and I couldn't have that, same for the Xe (pics of this later)

So,to the pictures:-

Calibra anyone? (Getting funny looks from the neighbours here)

I know they really are terrible, just deciding what to do with the wheels, got a set of original 5 spoke turbo wheels here, but they may look tiny.

!!!! Top tip !!!!!
Try different types of paint strippers on the lights first to see which removes the paint the fastest and with the least damage you did say you were changing the the lights anyway

i would have thought that they would have been keyed (scratched) so the paint would stay on, take the paint off it will F****d

They both look to be in great condition...

I'm thinking of getting me a 2nd Calibra, kept as Standard, but used as a daily...

The Tungsten one, really has some nice features added onto it...

Very Envious...
