I brought my se9 back in September 2011 for £220 off that internet auction site. Both the head gaskets and oil cooler had seen there day and to be honest the car just need a little bit of TLC :).

Heres out it looked before i got it home.

Let the work begin!!

I started by striping the front end down ready to get the radiator out to give it a good clean.

Image

Me when I was 21, the stranger looking guy in the background tampering with the engine on the se2 is my dad (robs-se).

Image

Then the next day after that I started striping the engine down.

As the heads were off i preceeded to strip them ready for pressure testing. I also ported and polished them but i didnt get any pictures of the polishing part at the time :( BOO!

I also polished and ported the air intake dividers, Again no piccys of the polishing part. I must of got bored of taking pictures lol

Image

Image

My Roose Motorsport Hoses all nicely fitted, easy with the heads off! lol
Image

Image

unfortunatly i never got round to taking pictures of me putting it all back together :(. The first time i put it back together the timing belt slipped and i bent 6 of the inlet valves on the back head :( double boo! I learnt by my mistake and heres how the engine it looks to this day.

Image

I polished the manifold up myself using the same techniques from the polishing and porting, added and painted red Vectra rocker covers, painted the brake lines red and lastly the engine cover has had the oil filler hole fiber glassed, filled and sprayed by myself, also the insert has been rubbed down and sprayed myself and bonnet lifters added :).
