well with Billing nearly upon us i'm getting some last minute prep work done. so now the front wheels are off and away getting refurbed this was due to the running in coating on the new discs marking the alloys :( this happened because the day i took the car out to run them in it started raining and it had dried in before i got back home :x

Image

another job left to do is get the roof liner changed over and get the mic routed up from my new bluetooth stereo to the interior light unit that i got out of a mk4 astra

Image

i have taken the drivers side motion sensor and fitted the mic into it this hides it out the road rather than having it just clipped onto the a-piller moulding

well a busy day today, picked up the two alloys that were away getting re-furbed last night from the powder coaters. so that was my first port of call this morning was to get them fitted

Image

next up was getting the interior stripped out to get my headliner replaced, the original one was sagging at the rear and it bugged me everytime i opened the boot

Image

and the new one fitted and no saggy rear end (pardon the pun  )

Image

took the opportunity while the headliner was out to get the mic for my new Alpine bluetooth stereo routed up to the new interior light. this is one out of a mk4 astra which has alarm sensors built in. so i removed the drivers side one and fitted the mic in its place, this saves it just being clipped onto the A-pillar

Image

Image

so only one last thing to get done before Billing and thats to get it detailed by one of my mates, thats happening the weekend before the show so shes nice and fresh

yeah it works quite well Andy, just need to work out the wires now and try and get the lights to work on it. it uses a multi plug but should be easy enough

If you look at the picture on the previous page you can see it better, when you open the doors both lights should turn on but there is a button at each side to turn them on individually
