Thanks for the comments! Refitted the rear undertray today after it fell off at 90 (on a private road under controlled conditions)

I refitted mine not too long back....luckily mine just came off when i was under the car checking things, the plastic nuts holding it on had split due to the rust on the threaded bits....I used some of that epoxy putty, and it works a treat.

It helps alot if its clean when its on too....i cleaned mine and treated it with plastic renovator type stuff, like Autoglym bumper care, I know people hardly see it but it looked alot better to me :)

What is the function of this 'Plastic Tray' anyway???

I had mine removed, when I got the exhaust system fitted...

My muffler actually sits in the centre there, where that Tray used to be... :shifty:

It's actually classed as a rear lower spoiler...

It directs the air away from the rear bar and provides some downforce

Not sure how, that s**t is beyond my smartness

It's to help stop the rear bumper being ripped of at speed.

Same as a Venturi diffuser then.....it's all becoiming clear now, no wonder the back end was all over the place without it!!
