My New Track Toy

by KERR_SE9 » Fri Aug 05, 2011 10:15 pm

Hi folks (PICS ASAP)
Just picked up a 2001 Astra Coupe Turbo,Full Mot/Tax and Timing belt done, for the amazing price of £570!!
I'm stripping it out and keeping it for track days

Anyone got suggestions for more power?
Plans are mega low fat diet, better brakes and coilovers

so you got one aswell think i saw you the other day looks very tidy as for more power

xev cam and adjustable pully
fmic
uprated fuel pump
vxr turbo injectors and afm --requires re-map---
full stainless
pre cat removal
larger top hat
remove crossover pipe and fit cdti airbox
and remap stage 3 should see close to 300 bhp

or fit z20leh out a vxr

Whiteline rear ARB is an absoute must, as is powerflex front lower engine mount.

Stock brakes/steering/body stiffness are miles better than Calibra, I hate to admit it :(

Yeah,It does handle quite well, not anywhere close to standard C20LET performance
I've pulled all the interior out,so that's a start
