have a look at the edge of the flap, I would think it would have a chamfer on the part meeting the main body...if not then I would say it will not matter what way round it goes

Yesterday i finally got round to fitting the replacement Grill/V that ive had for over 6 years, Yes, SIX Years!! sat in its box....shocks me to think how long ive had it and not fit it...LOL....anyway, as you can see from the befores, the badge had bit the dust and looked terrible, and as you cant buy the badge seperate, and i didnt want to buy an adhesive one from eBay etc, it was full bumper-off grill swap...

(I dont know why i took 2 pics of each, but i did and ive put them on here, so there lol)

I know the badge isnt straight, which narks me off abit, it wasnt really noticable when it wasnt on the car.....and i dare say no one else will bat an eyelid, but i know its not straight! :(

It's another job off the list though ;)

Is it not possible to carefully peal the badge off and turn it slightly

It's hardly noticeable, but I do suggest you fit some non rusted, Number Plate Hex Type Screws...

It actually is possible, but a very delicate operation indeed...

I've removed the Old 'Holden' badge off mine, and replaced it with Opel...
I did remove it good enough, so that it can be used again, but it won't be...

I just kept the old badge, in my 'box of badges' as maybe someone might actually want it...
I've even got a V-Grille with the Griffin Badge on it, and some rear Griffin Badges as well...

I wonder if anyone here in Australia, is game enough to put them on their Calibra???
