Knocking on braking

by Robs-se » Wed Aug 28, 2013 8:27 pm

When braking these days there is a bad knocking coming from the front, at first thought it was the brake discs, but on
looking today the steering gear looks to be at fault. Reason being that when you get hold of the plate locking the
tie rod ends you can wiggle them and the steering gear will move slightly as if the tie rods are loose but they are not.
Is there any where else it can be loose and to tighten or has the assembly failed altogether?
How easy is it to remove and replace.
Nothing succeeds like a budgie with nae teeth
