Took the car to the garage today as it is leaking a bit of fluid, been told its the power steering rack :( The genuine Vauxhall part if £500  + fitting on top it is not worth doing. Can any advise me on sourcing a refurb / 2nd hand / alternate? The part number the mechanic got was ZF 7836 974 194. I need this pretty urgently as MOT is due next Monday, which it will fail :(

I am total rubbish when it comes to cars :banging: so I am getting a professional to do it :) The one which found the leak said it would be about 4 hours labour, which seems about right. As with anything on the V6 it is a pig to get too :(

Tazz sold me his old one so its all sorted now :)
I had a look at that one on ebay too but the part numbers did not match properly. Too risky as the mechanic needed me to be 100% sure it would fit.
